Detailed ultrasound
A window into baby's health
Why do I need this?
A detailed ultrasound is a test used to monitor your baby’s health and development. It is safe for you and your baby. At around 20 weeks, I use ultrasound to check the baby’s growth, organs, and overall health. I also check for any abnormalities like spina bifida or cleft lip, and measure the amniotic fluid, placenta position, and umbilical cord blood flow. This ultrasound is important to assess the development and health of your baby.
